Wedding in Toledo: the San Juan de los Reyes Monastery
The wedding of Monica and Jose Carlos was a celebration where history, fashion and sensitivity came together to create an unforgettable day. A wedding so special that it has been published in Vogue Novias for its elegant style and careful artistic direction.
The ceremony was held at the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, in the heart of Toledo, a place with a unique atmosphere, perfect for couples looking for a wedding with heritage essence.
A wedding published in Vogue, full of style and sensitivity.
Every corner of this wedding reflected the care for details, the love for aesthetics and the connection with the history of the place. A day that will remain in our memories and that has been recognized with a publication in Vogue Novias as an example of an elegant wedding, with character and a lot of heart.
The bride's look: Alejandra Oria's dress and details with French soul
For her big day, Monica trusted Alejandra Oria to create an unconventional dress. “From the beginning I was very clear that I wanted a dress that evoked a vintage feel, but with contemporary fabrics, that reflected my personality and far from the traditional white, and above all, that was comfortable to be able to dance and enjoy it all day long. It was clear to me that the sleeves had to be the protagonists, and from that idea we were building the design,” she tells us.
Finally, the dress design materialized in a two-piece, with the bodice made of wild silk and a structured design that included puffed sleeves in one piece, finished in tucks that generated a ruffle at the top, providing strength and personality. The asymmetrical neckline added a modern and sophisticated touch, and the skirt, made of silk and cotton bamboo combined with silk crepe, was light and fluid, forming several layers of different fabrics that fell asymmetrically, providing movement and delicacy.

The reception took place at Finca Lavadero de Rojas, an enclave surrounded by nature and with a rustic charm that turned the celebration into a real outdoor dream. From the very first moment, Monica and Jose Carlos were clear that they wanted their wedding to revolve around a symbol: a vase with flowers in warm tones -pink, red and orange-, present in the invitation designed by Atelier Belu. “The vase represents home, that place where one feels safe, loved, at peace. And the flowers and festive elements are a celebration of life, of love blooming and the beauty of sharing it with those who are part of our home, of our closest circle,” they explain.
That same concept was transferred to all the decorative elements: from the seating plan and the minutes to the floral decoration of the monastery and the centerpieces. At the ceremony, a wild inspiration in powdered tones by H&D Foto y Flor framed the majesty of the place. And at the banquet and the seating plan, Maua Estudio Flora was in charge of transferring the range of colors to the decoration of the centerpieces.
